EDINBURGH GENETICS IN GHANA

May 20, 2021

Edinburgh Genetics is pleased to donate to AfriKids, an independent charity that provides support to children across Ghana. AfriKids’ Covid-19 prevention activities have reached over 350,000 people in northern Ghana (and over 710,000 further indirectly), representing approximately 30% of the population of the Upper East Region. The tests received by AfriKids meant that the charity could take the first steps to test staff and help with the management of Covid-19 cases.

‘As a UK company working across Africa, we are always keen to support charities serving the most vulnerable in society. Edinburgh Genetics’ accurate and cost-effective point-of-care IVD products are used to provide early diagnoses to patients globally. Our easy-to-use and easy-to-transport ActivXpress+ range of immunoassay devices enable staff at decentralised, primary and community-level healthcare providers to isolate patients, minimising potential infections.’
